The International Iran Summer School on Quantum Information (IISSQI08) will be held on beautiful
Kish Island, 13-27 September 2008.
As Kish Island is a free zone, no visa is required to visit or attend. However, a visa is required if you plan to visit Iran's Mainland.
If you are planning to visit one of the universities and/or research institutes in Iran, please indicate your desire to visit the
mainland in the registration form. Then, organizers will assist you with applying for a visa to visit Iran. Please download this
visa information form, complete
the "Guest Personal
Data" field, and send it back to us
at
iissqi-08 _ at _ physics.sharif.edu. Then, we will provide you with a formal
invitation letter that can be used for your visa

If you are planning to only attend in the IISSQI08 School, then a convenient way to fly to Kish is via
Dubai
in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). There is no
advance booking for flights from Dubai to Kish,
but there are daily flights available between
Kish and Dubai. After your arrival to terminal
A, you need to go from this terminal to terminal
B and then take a flight to Kish Island. The

Alternatively, you can fly to Tehran's new
Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKA)
and fly from there to Kish Island or any
other destination in the mainland that
you wish. Please note that if you choose
to fly to Kish from Tehran, you will
need a valid visa, obtained from one of Iranian Consulates in your homeland or other countries around the world.

Tour in
Mainland Iran:
We
have organized a 4-day tour in
Mainland Iran which will start on
28 September (after the school) and
include visiting Isfahan and
Shiraz. The fee for the tour will be
around 600-700 USD and will
cover:
i) A flight ticket
from Kish to Isfahan,
ii) Two-night stay in
Isfahan (Hotel
Abbasi)
+ 3 meals per day
+ sightseeing with
an English-speaking
tour guide,
iii) A flight ticket
from Isfahan
to Shiraz,
iv) Two-night
stay in
Shiraz (Hotel
Pars) + 3 meals per day
+ sightseeing
(Persepolis
included) with
an English-speaking guide,
v) A flight ticket
from Shiraz to either Kish or
Tehran (depending on
your choice).
