Application is closed now. The selection committee has started reviewing applications, and those who are accepted will be notified on 21-23 June. These applicants are required to pay their fees to finalize their registrations by 28 July. As soon as our selection is completed, a list of accepted applicants and status of their registration will be posted on the "participants" page. If you see your name on this page, but have not received an invitation email from IISSQI08, please inform us via email as soon as possible. Please note that you should not pay any fees before the committee makes its selections.

Financial support for students:

There is a limited fund available for partially supporting a few students (whether graduate or undergraduate). Only those students who plan to stay for the whole duration of the school are eligible to apply. Please note that this fund is competitive and winners will be chosen by the selection committee only based on applicants' proven qualifications. 

Poster Session:

This summer school will also include a poster session for participants to present their works. 

Participants from Iran should go ahead with payment of the registration + accommodation fees after they receive the admission notice from our selection committee. Please note that two types of accommodation are available. You need to specify your preferred accommodation in the application form. Please fax us a copy of your bank receipt, or email its scanned copy to this email address: applicants-iissqi-08@physics.sharif.edu. The fax number is given on the "contacts" page. When faxing or emailing your receipt, please give it the reference "Re: IISSQI08-receipt". We will then inform you about finalization of your registration. Alternatively, you can check it through the "participants' page.

International participants can pay the registration + accommodation fees, in cash, on the first day of  the school.

Some notes:

• In order to promote scientific as well as informal discussions between participants, we strongly recommend you to choose one of the hotels specified below. However, this is not mandatory; if you will, you can arrange your own accommodation. Please note that we are not responsible for arranging any other type of accommodation.

• Cash payment, on the first day of the school, is only applicable for international participants. Other participants should transfer the money into the university account.

• The registration and accommodation fees are non-refundable.

• Please note that the following fees do NOT include fee of the tour to mainland Iran.

1. Companions do not need to pay the registration fee.

2. Accommodation fee covers the whole period (i.e. two weeks) of the school. Type A is a 4-star hotel, type B is a 3-star hotel, and both include a meal, as well.
