The
International Iran Summer School on Quantum Information
2008 (IISSQI08) will provide introductory,
tutorial-style presentations on the theory,
implementations, and applications of quantum information
by leading international researchers from the
disciplines of physics, computer science, and
mathematics. The summer school will take place over two
weeks and include poster sessions for participants to
present their own work.
The topics of the summer school include:
Computational models
Entanglement
Implementations of quantum information
Many body systems
Mathematical methods for quantum information
Quantum channels
Quantum cryptography
Quantum error correction
Quantum
information with atoms and photons
Quantum simulation
Relativity and quantum information
Topological quantum computation
There will be five hours of lectures per day for five days
in each of the two weeks of the summer school.
In addition, a few hours each
week will be allocated for
research talks by presenters and
participants of the summer school.
The summer school will take place at
Kish Universityon beautiful
Kish Island. Kish Island is a
free zone so no visa is required to participate in this summer school. A visa is required, however, if you plan to visit Mainland
Iran. One convenient option for travel to Kish Island is to fly to
Dubai
and then take one of the many daily flights from Dubai to Kish Island.
This summer school follows on from the successful
International Iran Conference on Quantum Information 2007 (IICQI2007), which was also held at Kish University.
